Suzi Seeds in Sean's Footsteps was created in 2022 to recognise and continue the work of Sean Thomas and Suzi Keepa. These two individuals worked tirelessly to bring hope into young people's lives and to ensure they had a future worth fighting for. My name is Matt Robinson, and I had the great privilege of working along side both Sean and Suzi before they passed away in 2021 and I am now honoured to be able to continue the work they began by supporting Franco in Uganda.

Sean was introduced to Franco by a kiwi lady named Rae Perkins 16 years ago whilst Rae was doing research in Uganda, you can read the story of how Rae met Franco here. Beginning in 2006 Sean supported Franco to get an education and to go on to University. Franco is now a leader within his church congregation and in the Luweero community where he councils people who are struggling with their Positive HIV status. With Sean's and now our support, Franco cares for his deceased brother's children and an additional group of children who have also been orphaned by AIDs. Suzi Seeds in Sean's Footsteps has been created to formalise the support Sean was giving and to connect sponsors in New Zealand to children in Uganda. This has been made possible by our partnership with Rotary New Zealand World Community Service (RNZWCS). The funds generated go towards ensuring the children receive a quality education and are kept healthy and happy. so they may grow up to pay forward the good turn they have been served.

I would like to thank all the sponsors and helpers who have made this possible with special thanks to Rotary New Zealand World Community Service and  The Rotary Club of WhakatÅ« for all their support and guidance.
