Firstly, thank you all for your support, I have been blown away by the generosity and help I have received from all corners of the world and all walks of life. Sean and Suzi touched so many lives and left the world a better place in so many ways and this has shone though in the willingness of those they leave behind to help others.
In the last school holidays I was lucky enough to add a visit to Uganda on to a trip to my home country of Zimbabwe and as such got to meet Franco and his BIG family!
I arrived in Entebbe - the former capital - and spent a day there before driving to the new capital Kampala where I met with a fellow Rotary member to discuss how best to support Franco and the children moving forward. I then travelled to Luwerro for an emotional reunion with Franco. I spent 3 days with them in Luweero which was magical. Such an awesome opportunity to see how they live and spend time with them. They are a lovely bunch of kids who are all happy, healthy, and very glad to be going to school every week 😊 I feel very privileged to have been able to visit and see first hand the benefits that we have collectively been able to make in their lives. They are a truly inspiring group of young people who are making the most out of every opportunity they are given.
